A delegation from the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA) recently participated in the 47th Session of the Islamic Committee on Economic, Cultural, and Social Affairs, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The visit formed part of ISSA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening collaboration with key partners across the Islamic world, with a particular focus on youth and sports development.
As part of the visit, ISSA Secretary General Mr. Nasser Majali met with H.E. Ambassador Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The two leaders discussed areas of mutual cooperation, especially in the field of youth and sport, and Mr. Majali extended an official invitation for the OIC General Secretariat to attend the upcoming Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia later this year.
The ISSA delegation also held discussions with representatives from the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), exploring opportunities for joint projects aimed at supporting youth-focused sports and development initiatives across ISSA member countries.
